more about us:

We don’t like the idea of being boring. Obviously.

Won’t Be Boring is a printed magazine born from the raw pulse of Minneapolis.

We exist at the intersection of music, art, sex, pop culture, and everything in between. We’re bringing you the stories and interviews that don’t make mainstream media, and amplifying the voices of our local creatives.

Garage bands with 100 spotify listeners, the painters at 3am trying to finish their piece before their 9-5 tomorrow, and the designers who dream of seeing their work on a runway.

This is for the punks, poets, queers, and cultural archivists.

Each issue is carefully curated, made for you to love.

Indulge in your local scene, and don’t forget to keep L-I-V-I-N!

What you'll find in our pages:

  • Artist Interviews that go deeper than bios and buzzwords.

  • Sex, desire, and identity explored through a creative lense.

  • Local music that somehow didn’t end up in your spotify wrapped. Yet…

  • Visual art through canvas and mixed media.

  • Fashion and resistance by designers working in their basements. You’ll see them in fashion week soon.

  • Minneapolis history told through people who lived it - and the ones reimagining it.

  • Photography, poetry, personal essays, and so much more.
